We’re Back…
After what seemed like a defeated attempt, and years of learning how to better adapt in our rural community, it seemed like the pandemic was a perfect time to revisit and help others out. The interest is high in making things from scratch, gardening, canning, etc. and with that excitement, as we have experienced, can come the disappointment with the reality of choosing this lifestyle and how hard sourcing raw or bulk ingredients can be.
We came back to help, and to share from our experiences what works and what doesn’t, at least for us. As we head into the holiday season, we plan to share our “inside” ventures and catch everyone up on our home improvement DIY projects.
We are expanding Hales Homestead business venture from our seasonal peach orders, to an online shop stocked with handcrafted goods. Some items we make ourselves, but the rest we source from either local crafters or other small family-owned craft businesses.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be sharing all things coffee, so be sure to check in often. A top-secret coffeecake recipe is in the works to be shared (a double batch just in time for the holiday season, bake a pan for you and one other pan to give to someone else.)
We are so glad to finally be up and going…be sure to send us a message if you have questions or ideas you think we should cover. In the meantime, check out our online store. You can buy online and pick-up, or we schedule deliveries on Tuesdays and Thursday.
