Tik Tok Cranberry Jalapeño Dip
TikTok is known by many as a platform for sharing viral dances geared towards kids, but I have ventured into the world of #foodtiktok and #cleantok and found all kinds of cleaning hacks and delicious healthy recipes. This viral cranberry jalapeño dip I tried recently, and I must say, this will become a holiday staple, especially when those cranberries go on sale.
The original video did not share exact measurements but I did manage to find some blogs that attempted to recreate the recipe.
While I liked the recipe as it was, I did feel that sugar was a bit too much and one could add more heat and citrus to enhance the vibrant flavors. I made this recipe for two different Christmas gatherings over the last week. The second time I made it with the following adjustments and I absolutely love the tangy and bright flavors of this dip.
(You may find yourself using this dip as a topping for salads, meats, and sandwiches.)
If you try this recipe, let me know what you think of it. Do you think it needs more sugar?

Ingredients
Instructions
- Using a food chopper or a food processor (pulse only) chop cranberries, jalapeños, green onions and garlic. Be sure to not over process as the cranberries will over liquify.

- Add sugar, lemon/lime juice, and salt to the cranberry mixture and gently stir in until blended.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Pour cranberry mixture over a block of cream cheese.
- Using a knife or spoon spread cream cheese and cranberry mix over crackers.
- Follow the instructions above from 1-3.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Take cranberry mixture out of the refrigerator and stir the mixture. Strain out all liquid using a colander with small holes.
- Whip softened cream cheese with hand mixer until smooth, approximately 2 minutes.
- Spread whipped cream cheese over bottom of a pie plate or a 9x9 dish.
- Pour cranberry mixture atop cream cheese and keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Use a spoon to spread over crackers and enjoy.
Notes:
This dip can be served fresh or after a day later. It is a great alternative to cooked cranberry sauces and makes a wonderful topping for ham and turkey in addition to being used as a dip for appetizers.
